Overview
The National Research Center of Prestressing Engineering Technology (NRCPET) was officially approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology at the end of 2011 and established in early 2012. The center is led by the Department of Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province and supported by SEU. The participating companies include Nanjing Dongda Modern Prestressed Engineering Co., Ltd. and SEU Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd.
Vision
Since its establishment, through engineering technological innovation and mechanism innovation, the center has strived to make itself the main driver of domestic and international prestressing engineering technological innovation and industrialization. The center has also spared no effort in building itself into a human resource distribution center, a core link for business-university-institute integration, an important training base for engineering and management experts, a sharer of prestressing engineering technology, and a magnet for advanced foreign technology. With world-class experimental capabilities and facilities, the center will build a large-scale national instrument and equipment sharing platform for prestressing engineering and tests. A standardized control system for scientific research, development, and financial management and a set of strict, reasonable, and efficient scientific management mechanisms will be built for the center to achieve modern first-class management. Finally, the center will create a virtuous circle of technology, economy, and talents, and establish itself as the world's leading prestressing engineering technology center that promotes not only China's scientific and technological progress but also the sustainable development of civil engineering and other traditional pillar industries.

Research facilities
Shared with the Key Laboratory of Concrete and Prestressed Concrete Structures of the Ministry of Education.
