Research Projects and Funding

Our faculty members bring in over 1,000 projects from 2015 with total research funds of 66.3 million US Dollar, which are sponsored either by governmental or industrial agencies. Typical research projects include High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), National Program on Key Basic Research Project of China (973 Program), National Key Technology Research and Development Program, the Key Program and Major Research Plan of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, etc. About 84% of the funding sponsored by governmental agencies are obtained by full professors, while 13% comes from associate professors and 3% of the funding are received by lecturers and others. In the case of funding sponsored by industrial agencies, 76% are from full professors and 20% and 4% are received for associate professors and lectures respectively. The average research funding per year from 2015 to 2018 is about 14 million US Dollar. The per capita funding is about 300 thousand US Dollar from 2015 to 2018.
