• According to the official notice of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Prof. Guo Tong has been elected as a Fellow of ASCE.Prof. Guo Tong is mainly engaged in teaching and research in the area of multi-hazard performance assessment and enhancement of structures. He has presided over more than 20 research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program, and has won the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress (ranked 2nd) and led the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress of Ministry of Education, the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress of Jiangsu Province, and the Gold Prize of Geneva International Invention Fair. As a national-level registered structural engineer and construction engineer, Prof. Guo Tong has carried out extensive and in-depth engineering practice in the direction of building seismic isolation, seismic strengthening and structural intelligent monitoring in recent years. Currently, he is an associate editor of two ASCE journals, Journal of Bridge Engineering and Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities, and a member of ASCE's Engineering Accident Identification Training Committee.
